What your business needs next

and what it starts at

Six questions about where the business actually is. What comes back is a short plan: which services are worth doing, in what order, how many weeks they take, and the budget they start from - priced from the packages published on this site.

The questions

Six questions about the business

Answer honestly rather than optimistically. The plan is only as useful as the position it starts from.

1Where is the business right now?
2What do you sell?
3Your website today
4What matters most in the next six months?
5Who answers customers today?
6When do you want to be live?
7Anything you already know you want? (optional)

Nothing is sent anywhere and no email address is asked for. The plan is worked out in your browser from the packages published on this site, and it is gone when you close the tab - copy it, print it or download it first.

The method

How the plan is worked out

There is no scoring model and no black box. Six answers go in, a short set of rules picks the services, and the prices come straight off the packages page.

  1. Your answers pick the services

Each recommendation is a rule rather than a guess, and the plan tells you which of your answers produced it.

  2. The order follows the dependencies

Identity decides what the site says, the site is what marketing sends people to, and support depends on neither - so it starts straight away.

  3. The weeks come from the packages

Each one publishes its own delivery time, and the one-off work is added up in sequence because that is how it genuinely runs.

  4. The budget is the published starting price

Nothing is priced in this tool. Change a price on the Offers and Pricing page and this plan changes with it.

  5. Nothing is sent anywhere

There is no email field on this page: the plan is worked out in your browser and gone when you close the tab, so copy, print or download it first.

Worth knowing

What it does not account for

It does not know your market

Two businesses with identical answers can need very different amounts of work, because one is competing with three local firms and the other with three hundred.

It cannot see your existing site

A rebuild and a rescue are different jobs, and only looking at the thing tells you which one you have.

It assumes one of each

Where a package is priced per agent or per channel, the figure is for one of them; more than one multiplies it.

It is a floor, not a quote

Every number is the published starting point. Scope moves it, and scope is what a conversation is for.

FAQ

Questions about the planner

1Are these real prices?

They are the real starting prices, taken from the packages published on the Offers and Pricing page. They are the point below which a project of that shape does not go - not a quote for yours.

2Why does it recommend things I did not ask for?

Because your answers asked for them. If you said the site brings nothing in, more traffic is not the fix, and the plan says so. You can tick what you already know you want and it is added; it will not remove what the answers call for.

3Do you keep my answers?

No. There is no form to submit and no address to enter. The plan is worked out in your browser, and closing the page is all it takes to be rid of it.

4The timeline looks long. Can it be shorter?

Sometimes. The weeks are the published delivery times run in order, because each stage feeds the next. Where a deadline is fixed, the usual answer is a smaller first phase rather than a faster one.
